Time With God

Making Time For The Most Important Person in the World.

But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for Himself; the Lord will hear when I call unto Him. (Psalms 4:3)

These are truly days when we are facing challenges and distractions on every hand. It seems as if the issues and pleasures of life keep pulling for our attention, attempting to get us away from spending time with the lover of our souls, our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ask the average believer if they spend time with God in His Word and prayer everyday, and you may be very surprised at the answers you receive. It is a sad fact that many of us do not make time to spend with God everyday, when He is truly the author and finisher of our faith.

I personally believe and know that much of our distractions come from the enemy of our souls. Think about it: Have you ever noticed that when you determine you will make time for God, things have a pattern of showing up, unexpected things, which if you allow them to, will pull you away from your decision for the Word and prayer that day.

Now you may think a day does not matter. And that is exactly what the devil would want you to think. It is his intention to hinder you, if you let him, from spending time with Jesus today. And then, when tomorrow becomes today, he will attempt to do so again. And each day, as it comes, will prove to be the same distractions, which come for the purpose of hindering your time of communion and the sweet and necessary fellowship with Father God in His Word and Prayer.

To this end, I would like to help you understand how vital it is for you and I to make the time to spend with God each day. This is very important to you, and to the Father. He wants to spend time with you. And He longs for your fellowship more than you may realize. He loves you so.

I have written a book that I strongly believe comes from The Father’s Heart to yours. It is a different kind of book. It is written in the first person as if God Himself is having a conversation with you, One on one. Various people have told me that I may have penned the words, but I did not write this book. One person even told me that she read the book three times and treasures it so much that she even refuses to lend it to one of her employees.

The Berean and the Goldfish by Stephen James analyzes and clarifies several important topics of truth from the Word of God.   In 2 Timothy 2:15 we read, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”  This book is for truth seekers who want to know and enjoy more of God’s Word.  The author points out that many teachings presented today from the pulpit are watered down, for itching ears and although the book can be controversial, the author encourages readers to seek a Berean spirit to search the matter out.  Bereans were known to have lived in ancient Greece, in the town of Berea.  They were known as ones who “received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether these things are so” – Acts 17:10-11. 

In this same spirit, keeping also in mind that God’s Word is the source of truth, the author has written a book so that reader may have enough knowledge of Scripture to search the matter out, discovering truth for themselves.  This author has written an extensive book with 388 pages clarifying such subjects as: life with and without the Gospel, evidence of the resurrection, faith versus works, a church audit, the role of the law, the Trinity, the Lamb of God, seven letters to seven churches, our national heritage, national sins and consequence, the soul and being born-again, life and death, and the doctrine of “sleep”.  In addition, this work covers prophecies about Jesus – fulfilled, the names of God, U.S. cities with Bible names, God’s instruction manual for people, roots, and understanding “Israel”.

All of these teachings are rich in Scripture and built with solid scriptural application.  One can learn a great deal from this book that came from careful biblical studies that began over 30 years ago.  In writing this book the author hopes eyes will be opened, hearts will be softened to the truth of God’s Word, giving light for the day that we live in, if even we are still as goldfish in a goldfish bowl – only understanding what we are capable of understanding on this Earth – thus the explanation for the title. 

This is a great read for those who desire truth in the inner man and a deeper understanding of the Word, Jesus, the hope of our salvation and God Himself.  Refreshing, encouraging and filled with Scripture, reading this book leads to the discovery that the only important and relevant pursuit is the pursuit of God, godliness and understanding from the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.  Highly recommended!

Mozell-Smith was written to reveal Scripture.  The purpose of the book is to offer truth in God as the Creator of the Universe and sheds light on Jesus and the Holy Spirit.  Much scripture is used throughout the book to instruct the reader on the reality of the spiritual realm, helping them understand the fight between good and evil, thus unveiling who Lucifer is and his plan to destroy the world.   Delving into the scientific side of the existence of this planet, the author also gives scripture that contradict The Big Bang Theory while presenting many foundational biblical principles – all revealing who God is and how to be one who is found to righteous through the blood of Jesus. 

This is an interesting read that relies heavily on the use of scripture to reveal the truth of the earthly and spiritual realm to those that would believe there is no God.  Undeniably, the author has given a statement of faith and reiterates these beliefs and findings throughout the Word of God that point to Jesus as the only Savior of this world.  Her teachings are profound, as they are based on not her opinion, but the Holy Word.

Inspiring and encouraging, one will find many answers in this read as the author writes on different aspects of life such as: Tithes and offerings, Baptism, Holy Communion, the Sabbath Day, Marriage, Divorce, Scriptures regarding children, Scriptures on the once saved, always saved theory and much, much more.  She highlights that’ Jesus return is eminent and soon, exhorting others to live a godly life that is pleasing in the sight of God.  A highly recommended read for those desiring more of the Word.
