Jesus spoke of the man who built his house on solid foundation vs. the man that built his house on sand. One was built on rock solid foundation, while the other was not. Jesus went on to say that the house built on the solid foundation could withstand difficult times, that the winds could blow and the house would remain, but that the house built on sand would not stand and great would be the fall of it. Just imagine the endless situations and circumstances that this application could apply to.

Sometimes it's possible to start out on solid foundation and slowly be moved to unstable foundation. One way for this to happen is through compromise. We all occasionally compromise, however if we continue to walk in compromise it can cause a shift and that shift can lead to unstable grounds.

When this happens, we must examine situations, ourselves, and the path that we have taken. For it's easy to get off course in today's world.

There are blessings found in the straight and narrow.

I just read a article online from a high end California news paper that shared that a man is collecting signatures to have divorce banned in California. The article shares that it will require 694,354 signatures of registered voters to be collected by March 22nd of 2010 to get the measure of the ballad next year. Imagine that.

It's called the ELIMINATES THE LAW ALLOWING MARRIED COUPLES TO DIVORCE. INITIATIVE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT.

I'm sure you've study a little history on the Ancient Greek Gods. It's actually a fun study to look into and it definitely gives you an overview on ancient societies and ancient history of some of the cultures of the world. There is so much history when it comes to mankind that to study it all could take a lifetime. Just imagine living 1,000 years ago, or even in the days of Christ.

I love to read the Bible which shares accounts clear back to creation in the book of Genesis when the Lord God formed man from the dust of the earth. We all know the story of Adam and Eve. The Bible is filled with history, accounts, life and matters that pertain to eternal life. Let me encourage you to add the Bible to your studies daily. For within the scriptures are some of the most important things you will ever read.

I must admit that I'm at a loss. We have NASA which accomplishes great things. We have technology that is flat out amazing. Our military is the most powerful well equipped military in the world. The world looks to America for many things and to help solve many problems. Yet, we can't safeguard our citizens and our children from drugs, gangs and the violence, death and destruction they cause.

In the blink of an eye, we can ship men off to war, prepare entire battle plans and engage an enemy with strategic force, yet we can't end illegal drugs. We are able to put satellites into orbit, but we can't end illegal drugs.

I just wonder why? Why can America accomplish such great things, however America can't stop the flow of illegal drugs into our country? I'm praying for a drug free America and for our children's future, free from drugs, gangs, violence, and the death and destruction they cause. America, wake up.

I'm sure that you've heard the news reports about the earthquake out in the ocean. The earthquake had a magnitude of 8.3 which is quite a earthquake. News reports share that at least 14 people were killed when a tsunami swept ashore in a South Pacific country after the powerful earthquake hit. News reports are still coming in and while this may seem light compared to other more devastating Tsunami's in the past, it also speaks loudly with regards to the loss of life and potential deduction that could come forth from future Tsunami's.

Please pray for the families of the victims and the people affected by this situation.

There was another announcement of a recall tonight on the news and yes, we had some in our medicine cabinet. My suggestion is Google recalled medicines, and stay informed.

Have you ever noticed how many times we seem to get into high gear before we shift from 1st to 2nd to 3rd and to 4th. This happens in churches, in ministries and in our personal lives. Personally I have found God, my walk with God and the Christian life to be season after season of change and that God is in no hurry. Considering that Christ died upon the cross over 2,000 years ago and countless generations and seasons have unfolded, that in it's self proves that God is a patient God. After all, God could have judged the world 1,000 years ago and called His Bride home, yet here we are, still awaiting the second coming of Christ.

We occasionally encounter those days that affect us. They affect our happiness, our personalities, our character and some times others around us. Depression is occasionally a part of life, unfortunately. However when misery and unhappiness becomes a daily routine, somethings wrong, drastically wrong. Many times within this we easily blame others for our unhappiness or we adapt that if only I could, or if only life was attitude.

The truth is that there is something wrong and that something is found deep inside of us. Yes, we can blame others and take on that pity party attitude. We can apply that but if only mindset, however the truth is that we need to look within us, deep within us, because somethings missing. You see, we were not created to live a life of sadness, misery and unhappiness. Life is not suppose to be ruled by these emotions and problems.

I love to rest in God. Life comes with many different challenges and sometimes those challenges can overwhelm us. Over the years I've learned a very important fruit of the Spirit. Patience! Within such, I've learned to rest in God, to not respond so quickly or become easily offended by situations. I simply take a deep breath and start praying when situations arise. When we rest in God, we find God's peace, wisdom and counsel flowing and that simply calms the storms. It helps us to put things into perspective.

As we come to know God and His ways, our walk with God and as a Christian goes through many seasons and challenges. We encounter many of the same situations and circumstances in life that we did prior to becoming a Christian. The difference is that as the seasons unfold hopefully we mature and character comes forth, as we look at and see things differently. The old man starts to pass away and as new creations in Christ, the birthing process unfolds.

My daughter loves her cartoon shows. Daily she watches them and sits quietly taking in all the images and sounds. Sometimes she laughs and laughs, other times she's just intently watching, and other times she's dancing to the songs. As the years have passed her mother and I have noted that she acts out some of the cartoon characters, has picked up some of the sayings and even names her dolls and bears after some of the cartoon characters and then there are the songs which she has learned and sings from time to time. She's only 5 years old.

Now imagine a teenager free to watch and view whatever television program or movie that's on the television or cable?

How does one conclude what is truly being spirit led or cult led? Are the manifestations truly of God or simply a form of being deceived into believing such? Is the spirit truly moving in these situations or nothing more than a well orchrastated side show? There are many that ask these very same questions. My advise is fruit! Look for the fruit, the fruit of the spirit. Of course a simple application of the word of God is a sure foundation to build from.

God is a God of truth, not lies. Malicious premeditated lies are not a fruit of the Spirit. Yes, they accomplish what they are designed to accomplish at times. Yes they can be used to control others and situations. However, the end will prove to be the complete opposite.

Luk 8:14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

Luk 8:15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

I love the prophetic ministry. I love when God speaks through prophetically gifted people. Yet of lately I have been pondering something a lot. Where is the fruit?

This deeply burdens me in the sense that something's just not right. It's like the complete opposite of all those encouraging words and promises prophesied have fallen to the ground. Where is the fruit?

Hopefully still in the ground as seeds that are growing being made ready to produce a harvest in their time.

However I also realize that the Word of God is TRUTH.

2Pe 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Beware of false prophets and those that abuse the prophetic ministry.

Interesting question, and I must share I have no answer other than that is what I felt led of the spirit to do. There is no doubt that God can speak through a prophetic vessel. However the word of God says also beware of false prophets. So how do you know if you are hearing a true prophetic word or the words of a false prophet?

Jer 14:14 Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.

Lam 2:14 Thy prophets have seen vain and foolish things for thee: and they have not discovered thine iniquity, to turn away thy captivity; but have seen for thee false burdens and causes of banishment.

Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Mat 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Mar 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if [it were] possible, even the elect.

We all love to hear wonderful things, encouraging words, encouragement and to be uplifted in difficult times.

Truly, the word of God is filled with wonderful things, beauty, encouraging words, encouragement and in truth can lift one up.

Beware of false prophets that come to you with fables, stories, and images that feed the flesh. With glittering fantasies that entice you.

Read God's Word, which is truth less all the vain imaginations.

There are tons of prophecies out there, tons of posts about revelation and a endless canvas of prophetic pictures. Yes God can speak through His prophets, and the prophetic ministry is an extension and part of the Kingdom.

Yet! test such things.

The days of the magic marker prophecies are coming to an end. The days of the quick change it up, cover it up and move on days are coming to an end. The days of hand picked give em a prophetic word for gain days are coming to an end.

The revelation as it was shared will prove to be true.

Pro 13:11 Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.

Psa 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

Prophecy is a wonderful gift of God. However when prophecy is used and abused with the intent to keep the people coming back or for the purpose of filling the tithe baskets. The end result is false hope which can bring great depression on people.

It's one thing to encourage people, however it is another thing to create prophecies giving the impression that God has spoken. The end result of this without a change of course will be double the loss of all that was gained.

Beware of false prophets and believe not every spirit that speaks.
